References to we, our or us in these terms and conditions are to Cricket Ireland (otherwise known as The Irish Cricket Union Company Limited by Guarantee)

2. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • It’s Wicket! Is for girls aged 9-13. Participants don’t need to have played cricket before

  • Smash It is for children aged 5-9. Participants don’t need to have played cricket before

  • Programme hours and days are dependent on the club participants sign up with. To find your nearest club, click here

  • Online Booking for each programme is through your local club

  • The It’s Wicket! and Smash It kit includes a jersey, backpack, cricket bat and ball, everything you need to play!

  • Cricket Ireland and affiliated clubs reserve the right to make date / venue changes and/or cancellations if necessary and will not be held accountable or liable should activities be suspended or cancelled due to adverse weather or other events beyond our control (including but not limited to war, strike, riot, crime, plague, hurricane, flood, earthquake, pandemic and/or volcanic eruption)

  • In cases where coaching activities are suspended due to adverse weather conditions, Programme Co-ordinators will make reasonable efforts to supervise indoor activities – provided only that the relevant host club/venue can offer an indoor facility at no extra cost. If such an indoor facility is not or cannot be made available, the Programme Co-ordinator will make contact with all relevant parents/guardians. It will then be the responsibility of parents/guardians to make arrangements to promptly collect their children from the programme

  • Cricket Ireland and affiliated clubs shall operate to the highest applicable standards but cannot be held liable or responsible for damages, injuries or loss of possessions of any participant. Parents/guardians of each participant are advised to obtain personal insurance to cover any such occurrences. We advise that all valuable items are left at home and we cannot be held liable for any lost property during any programme

  • Any misbehaviour by a participant will result in such participant being suspended from the Programme and in the event of such suspension, no refund will be provided

  • Photography and video may be taken over the duration of the It’s Wicket! and Smash It programmes and will be used only for promotional purposes. These photographs or videos may be used by the club and/or Cricket Ireland for use in match programmes, match reports, event reports or on the Club and/or Cricket Ireland website or social media channels

3. KIT DELIVERY AND AVAILABILITY

  • Upon completing sign-up with your local cricket club, each participant will receive their kit on the first day of programming

  • In the event of a delay and a kit isn’t available during the first day, your local club will provide all equipment needed to run It’s Wicket! and Smash It until kits are available

  • If your kit ordered doesn’t fit, please speak to your local club and we will attempt to find a replacement. Participants and their parents/guardians are responsible for correctly completing sizing needed during registration therefore, if we are unable to find a replacement, no refund will be issued

4. DAMAGED KIT

If your It’s Wicket! or Smash It Kit is damaged upon receipt, please email your local club to arrange a kit exchange

5. COVID-19 ARRANGEMENTS

6. REFUNDS 

Without prejudice to the above section, (COVID-19), no refunds will be issued. For any other circumstance or inquiries, please contact your local club

6.1 EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES 

In the event of extenuating circumstances, please contact programmes@cricketireland.ie. In the event that a refund is granted, please note that the original transaction fee of 3.55% is non-refundable. If a refund is approved, please allow 10 business days from the date of confirmation of refund for the transaction to appear in your account

7. PROGRAMMING CONFIRMATION

If you have not received confirmation at least 14 days before your preferred date of programming, please contact your local club

Information obtained by Cricket Ireland and affiliated clubs becomes part of the data held by Cricket Ireland and affiliated clubs for the purposes of administering programming in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1988-2018 as amended. In order to continue to improve Cricket Ireland and affiliated clubs may contact you by e-mail or phone for research purposes. Cricket Ireland and affiliated clubs may also contact you about future programming and events

The following Privacy Information is being provided to you as outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation.  It is intended to inform you of how the Personal Information provided on this form will be used, by whom and for what purposes

3. How can I contact Cricket Ireland?

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee our compliance with data protection laws as we not required to do so, but our Media and Communications Manager has overall responsibility for data protection compliance in our organisation.  If you are unclear on any aspect of this form, or want any further information, please contact your local club or programmes@cricketireland.ie

4. What is the purpose of processing my Personal Data?

The personal data contained on this form will be used to fulfil the contract between the Cricket Ireland and you by administering and running the It’s Wicket! and Smash It programme your child has selected to attend. If you provide your child’s medical information and your explicit consent for the Cricket Ireland to process this information. This will be used to enable Cricket Ireland and/or affiliated clubs to provide medical assistance to your child if required. If you have explicitly consented to such processing, your personal data may also be used to contact you for research purposes and to notify you of future Cricket Ireland programmes

5. Will anyone else receive a copy of my Personal Data?

Your personal data will only be processed by Cricket Ireland and/or affiliated Provincial Unions and clubs and will not be shared with third parties

6. How long will your Personal Data be stored for?

Your child’s personal data will be deleted within two  months of the conclusion of the It’s Wicket! and Smash It programme (as applicable) unless you have explicitly consented to Cricket Ireland retaining this information for the purpose of contacting you in future. If you have consented to us retaining your/your child’s data for the purpose of notifying you of future Cricket Ireland programmes, we will retain your/your child’s data for a period of two years, unless you withdraw your consent earlier

7. How can I obtain a copy of the Personal Data held by Cricket Ireland?

You have the right to request a copy of your Personal Data and can do so by contacting us. This information will be provided to you within one month

8. What are my privacy rights relating to my Personal Data?

You have the right to have your Personal Data updated, rectified, or deleted in certain circumstances if you so wish.  You also have the right to withdraw your consent to processing and to data portability. You can do so by contacting us
